Take a jackhammer to your computer. Jokes aside, google it, go to the twcenter page, and follow the instructions.

// The jackhammer is for the screen, not the PC.

Follow the instructions, I would personally download the one piece installer, the Strategy Informer link should work and I added a new link on the 11th July that works fine.
Just follow the installation instructions, if you experience any issues just open a thread here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?1646-DarthMod-Empire-Installation-amp-Technical-Support and we will endeavour to get you up and running. Don't forget the patch also available from the first link above

After the last patch Darthmod causes more issues than things it actually changes anymore. I am not discouraging you, just be aware. Ny question would be what are you trying to achieve in adding a mod?

First off, do you have Windows 8? If you do, it seems that Darthmod has a problem installing correctly and might not work.

I think this a misleading statement, and would strongly suggest you install the patch. There is a changelog if you want to see what etc., is included/changed

PS, for those who don't understand the basic concept of ZIP files...you are supposed to extract the 2nd part and place it in the SAME directory as the 1st part, aka .exe, for the mod to install correctly. Most PC gamers should know these basic computer concepts, but then again, this is the day and age of stupid (just look at congress...).

windows 7, got it, thanks

Take note that you may run into some problems in the installation. Sometimes the mod will crash and you will have to reinstall it. It's crucial to follow the step by step process that you find on the forums.

Important Note: Make SURE that the installer has the permissions that it needs in order to install itself and any packed/companion files! If it doesn't have the necessary permissions, the install will fail. In Win 7, go ahead and right-click on it and give it Administrator priveleges. (Simply allowing it a run-once in Admin mode may not be enough.)

When you get to windows 10 that is pretty much unavoidable for any program that uses a folder in appdata and program files up to and including even Rome 2 to not be installed or run first time from administrator perspective. Mods are much easier to lose parts too.

/sigh I've tried every solution I can find on the internet and the damn thing keeps crashing at the main menu, is anyone playing it on 8.1?
