America is an emergent faction and is not playable without a mod to enable them. If that is the route you wish to go, I would suggest Empire Total Factions. You can find it in the mod forums at TWCenter.net or you can google it and find it.

You play USA through chapter four of the Independence campaign, that is the USA Grand Campaign.

The USA grand Campagin can be found in the same menu as the other chapters to road to independence, no mod required

As ♥♥♥♥ points out the full USA campaign is the fourth episode of The Road to Independence, and one of my favourite factions to play. The start date is somewhat later for obvious reasons, but so is the end date.

Steam does not know when-♥♥♥♥-is being used as a proper noun

1783-1825 so in total 87 turns, though you have the option to keep going, which i always do

The map also reflects the time period with the exception of France owning Lousisiana instead of Spain so the player can attempt the lousisiana purchase (which i do)

You also get the chance to purchase the American heavy frigates that the Continental Navy commissioned to protect their trade vessels from French privateers.

The USA is not a playable faction in Grand Campaign for two reasons:
1. The US only appears in the 1780s, the Grand Campaign starts in 1700.
2. Even after it is founded, the US is NOT a major country, like it is today, actually, it was very weak and had virtually no influence on the world stage.

Which is how it starts off in RTI episode 4, and thats what makes it so enjoyable to play.
i recommend that u download darthmod of minor factions revange mod en then set your campaign late time periode then u can play as the usa

I am confused should we report this poster for suggesting using a MOD on this site?, it would appear one of many such historical posts

Simple answer... Do you remember installing EMPIRE and clicking "I accept"? THIS is what you accepted... https://www.sega.com/eula/

I thought I just did. You agreed in clicking I accept to install both steam and Empire which both have rules you agreed to follow. Specifically for Empire as the rules say it is illegal to open and change and host files where people without ownership of the game may access them without Creative Assembly giving you both permission and tools. Specifically for Steam, the rules for steam specifically say not to discuss illegal actions with games such as hacking into their files and violating the game EULA. This past year it was also added about sharing links to phishing sites on steam and recommending third party software not endorsed by the game maker or the native operating system. Phishing sites are places which allow illegal activities including but not limited to taking your personal information to cause you harm while benefiting from that harm. Technically, that includes almost all sites other than official sites such as TotalWar.com. The ONLY unofficial site for TW which is accepted is TWCenter.net which has been endorsed by Creative Assembly and SEGA specifically for total war games as a modding community from which Creative Assembly even hires its employees; example jack Lusted. HOWEVER, this still does not change opening, changing, and hosting files of games you do not own the rights to open, change, and host or the discussion thereof being illegal.

Under US Law, any organization which conspires or allows illegal activity as a part of its gathering becomes an organization of organized crime prosecutable under the RICO ACT grabbing and including not only VALVE and Game maker and publisher employees, but including volunteer moderators and even simple members into the prosecution for criminal activity.

Unfortunately you did not, hence my question, perhaps I will make it clearer for you

Should this poster (in fact it is you) be reported for suggesting another user, use a Mod for this game when poster (that will be you) continuously posts about breaking various agreements etc., by doing so.
Should this poster (you) in fact be berated for suggesting what the poster Hazardhawk (you) consistently claims should not happen.
Will you now go back over your numerous posts suggesting “people break the law” which is a summary of what you have been posting and berate yourself?

Should this poster (you)... NOT ME!

And alas. SEVEN years ago back when we were allowed to recommend before the EULA changed which was MOSTLY because of Darthmod Fan boys spamming everywhere they could lying about what DM does to get more people playing what is illegally misrepresented and advertised.

EDIT: Not to mention game breaking
