How to heal up troops?
I got in battle and most of my army turned from 120-soldier units to 30-soldier units, what to do?

Depleted troops are replenished with gold...that simple. This can be done anywhere/anytime--either one or two units at a shot, or the entire army. The only restriction is the health of your treasury. "Anywhere" means even while ship-bound...

Click on a unit and several icons will line up to the right...the top one with the "+" is what you what. While holding down shiftt, click on the first unit to the left in a full or partial stack and then on the last unit to right--all will be highlighted--click the "+" and healing will occur up tp the limit of your current treasury.

Simpler means to the same end...

ctrl+A to highlight all the stack. Then click on the "+" button to repair only the depleated units.

Incidentally, hovering over the "+" button gives a preview of the cost/costs.

Additionally, troops reduced from 120 to 30 won't retain their experience since they will be 3/4s full of green troops. IMO, unless the troops in question have experience...and... are only lightly reduced, it's better to consolidate and buy new units.

Also, it takes (usually) more than a couple of turns to rebuild. (Ships are an exception. They can be replenished in one turn if in port.)

Another thing to consider is that it costs less to rebuild one unit than two. By that I mean it costs more to rebuild 2 at 110 each than consolidating the 2 into one at 120 and one at 100, and only rebuilding one unit. There seems to be a premium per unit, so consolidating and rebuilding fewer units costs less overall.

Wait, you can consolidate units? How?

Simply drag-and-drop one unit over the other. They have to be identical though. For instance, Colonial Dragoons can't replenish normal Dragoons. Likewise all other units. Doesn't work for ships. They can only be refitted in port by highlighting and hitting the "+" button. (Thankfully, that always happens during the "turn over.")

There's a minor saving by reducing the number of units to be rebuilt. Plus, in a pinch you can go to battle with only a few sub-strength units in your stack, the rest being at full strength.

you dont have to click on all of the buttons anonymous said you can simply click crtl+a or just hold ctrl down and click on every unit then there is a disband unit, hire genaral, and a repleanish button but all of the suggestion work

it will take a few turns for the units to fill back up

Yes, and I've yet to figure out the "why" or "how long" criteria. But it certainly is annoying considering ships always replenish in one turn.

Takes 2 turns to reinforce troops.
