Graphics cap

My graphics are capped at medium, for some reason. This is really annoying cos my computer is relatively high-spec and I could run ultra with ease, but the game insists on capping my graphics level such that the game becomes really ugly; ie if you don't zoom in so close you can see their face, the soldier just glides across the ground and stuff. It really ruins the atmosphere of ETW. How to fix the graphics cap?

Relatively high-spec computer doesn't say much. Are you on a lap top, seems intergraded GPU (Intel HD) are great for watching videos but can't do the math for games.

still broken?

Search in windows for: %appdata%

This should bring you to the folder "Roaming" ( Users > "name" > AppData > Roaming ).

Click "The Creativ Assembly" > Empire > scripts.

Click the "preferences.script"

find gfx_video_memory 0

change to gfx_video_memory 536870912

Save preferences.script

Done.

Settings for High Graphics and Very High should now be unlocked in your game.
