I want to design new unit models

What are the tools I need to create new texture designs for soldiers? I'm tired of the vanilla textures but also equally tired of mods like Darthmod or Empire II that provide retextures but ruin the game.

I used to enjoy Absolutum Dominium but I'm tired with it now because it has a bug that disables the battle music.

So I just wanna make my own uniforms, but I don't know where to start. Can anyone help me please?

It refers me to DBEditor, PackFileManager, and ModManager. It doesn't help me with what I'm trying to do: edit a 3d unit model/redesign the texture. I'm not trying to make new units or just change colors, I'm trying to make new textures

If you look on TWC, search for a poster named Wangrin was on the Imperial Splendor team he put up some guides. Imperial Splendor does have some of the best reskins along ( I'm not sure Wangrin is active anymore, but a few are so you can always message them)

Yeah a lot of these sites seem to have been dead for a decade. Gives me the depressing feeling like I'll be in some abandoned clubhouse

Hey mate, you need GIMP with the dds plugin to edit ETW skins. Its free and fairly easy to grab skins from the pack files. You will need pack file manager to access the textures in each pack file though. DM me if you need some more help, I'm an active/semi-active modder for ETW
