What's the deal with russia in darthmod?
Russia's military strength seems grossly out of proportion with it's number of cities when playing with darthmod. Early in the game they have by FAR the most military prestige, and it just seems to grow exponentially from there. I once did a british campaign, and I conquered every province in the americas, most of india, and most of europe (except prussia and russia). I noticed that their military strength was still more than triple mine, so I went around to all of my towns and just started spamming military to get my prestige to be higher, it got to the point when I had a few hundred more prestige them them so I stopped spamming units for a couple turns. About 3 turns later I looked back, russia had about double my NEW military prestige...me with most of the world vs russia with like 12 provinces, they shouldn't have been able to even come close to matching me.

I didn't even bother to fight them and try to take the rest of the world because it would have taken a huge amount of time and troop spamming to grind them down for about 12 provinces. I don't remember russia being like this in vanilla, so what is up with russia in darthmod? Maybe historically they should be very powerful early in the game, but why is it that they can continue to grow their military non-stop without expanding their empire?

Hmm, i noticed there Military Prestige is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ huge it might be just because russia is already a big nation to start with and possibly why there military is always huge is perhaps they start of with more money or just save more money over turns then other nations do but being russia it kinda makes sence for them to have strong military. And another factor is they may have most or all of military research which adds the the military prestige.

Lucky for me i have a (Very Friendly) alliance with Russia and trade agreement as i am GB. :D

Russia definetly should be powerful, but it made no sense to me that I (with all military technology and a huge number of armies to defend most of the world) still had less military prestige then a nation with around 12 provinces late in the game. Not only that but russias military prestige never stops growing. Like I said, I made enough troops to overtake their prestige, but a few turns later they had more military prestige again.

I don't know then, maybe they hack :D or perhaps it just buged the prestige section!

And are you playing DarthMod?

Yeah, I am playing darthmod, it could be that the prestige section is bugged. Since I didn't try to fight them I actually don't know how many units they had, although I saw at least 5-6 full sized armies positioned near my borders.

im playing asprussia i bested their military and conquered them

I know this is a necro post but I've started playing darthmod again recently and in EVERY campaign I played they were getting about 5 times more military prestige then everyone.

They haven't done any military conquests except st-petersburg (and they had ridiculous amounts of prestige even before that) Meanwhile I conquer cities left and right (including russian territory as Ottoman) and my military prestige barely moves.

I don't remember this being a problem in vanilla OR in older darthmod versions so it's clearly a bug. Good thing it doesn't matter unless you're playing prestige victory I guess.

Military Prestige is dependant on the following;
1) Technological advances
2) Size of the army
3) Winning battles
4) Having military buildings

It could be a bug too, the mod is great but like everyhting else it isn't perfect.
military prestige in dme is also dependent on the stars of generals too if i am not wrong.also in my usa campaign i took most of the world with russia being from the last remaining.i invaded them once i had 9fully stacked armies and the first 3 with the best units i had.i also used 6reinforcing armies that come later in the war.but no matter in which of their provinces i was they had at least 4fully stacked armies in front of me.i eventually managed to evade most of them and fight only 1big pitced battle(with them outnumbering me maybe more than2/1 i had about 12k troops they had 27k) winning after 3hours and by evading 3of their armies took moscovery.they actually rushed to recap the provinces i took but as long as they did that i took all other provinces they had with the exception of petersburg.having totally wrecked them in regions but still seeing their armies all around my newely conquered regions i signed peace.and guess what:with 1region remaining they had DOUBLE MY MILITARY PRESTIGE AND ANOTHER 17ARMIES IN THAT ONE REGION INCLUDING 13FULLY STACKED.and even if their generals lost all battles(literally) they still had 2 6star gens and 1 7star.excluding that they made enough gold in that tiny province to keep all of their armies!
of course i fought 1big battle but also other smaller ones with just 1army from each side engaged(mostly with both armies fully stacked cause i couldnt risk having smaller armies walking around.the russians had huge forces and would easily take them out anywhere) not to mention the numerous and murderous sieges i had to do

How did they have so much gold to sustain so many armies like upkeep etc with just one region left without going bankrupt or falling into a civil war? wtf lol

The funny thing is in my campaign I am GB and im allied with US which I have gave US a region in eastern europe to create a buffer zone between me Poland and Russia as I have conquered most western europe but its scary because I did this near or just before what you see is going on now in europe with NATO and Russia etc going on. I feel like im actually controlling whats happening now in real life through my campaign. :D

Thank god I have not invaded Russia yet!!

Darthmod is garbage. That's why.

An opinion. I never liked it for Shogun, but it improves the Empire vanilla game animations and shaders. The smoke and sounds are amazing and immersive. I believe most people like it due to the massive quality improvements despite changes in units or mechanics.

I take it you don't like it because of game mechanic changes? Or perhaps the unit packs?

<Edit: My only beef is the game freezes due to Russian/Ottoman spam. It's basically unplayable.>
