Only some, small mods like fife n drum and smoke I read are working but large overhaul mods in general that reference the patch files that are now consolidated are broken. No idea what overhauls are working sorry. I stopped NTW from updating and am playing without the update fine, ETW has always been a broken mess IMO and have not had this installed for a while now and I hope imperial splendour updates to latest version so can actually enjoy it for my second play-though for that mod with the performance changes CA made etc.

I can at least continue my Darthmod campaigns currently by starting the Darthmod launcher and then launching Empire in steam. Everything seems to be functional and I haven't gotten any unusual crashes (any more than usual at least), I'm running Win10 up to date with a 10th Gen Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU. I have not yet tried modifying Darthmod settings and starting a new campaign yet, and I haven't tried any other overhaul mods since the patch. Hope this helps.

I am able to play the game (with the Empire 2 mod). I pasted in the previous version of the Empire exe application and the steam_api.dll that i saved in a back up folder. You can try to use the steam console to roll back the update, save those files if you are forced to update again. I run the game from the application exe in the folder, NOT from within steam.

Also, "disable" automatic software updates, I have my settings to only run updates from 4-5 am.

Vanilla seems to be working fine for me..., didn't do many turns tho.

I was thinking about a new game with Darthmod, IS or ETW2..., but i guess thats impossible now.

It isn't if you pirate the game. I managed to do it off an upload from 2010. Darthmod worked on it after a fresh reboot.

Really ? You sure everything works ? Because ETW2 kinda "worked" as well, but i quickly found out i couldn't transfer ships to other theaters and enemy units in battle did nothing.

Did you just start into turn 1 or actually played a bit ?

Just installed Darthmod and so far it seems to be working. Just 10 turns in, but no crashes or missing functionality.
