Definitive editions, what's new?
So, did they change/add/fix anything? Did they do anything besides changing the names?

The dlc's were made free.

They bundled the DLC into the core product. This means if you owned the base game and not all the DLC, you got free DLC and any customers who have not yet bought into them can now buy into the whole game with one purchase. It's purely a front-end store change rather than a code or game change (hence why if you owned all the DLC anyway you didn't need a download)

Ah, So as far as I know I didn't really gain anything, aside things from Napoleon. Thanks for clarification

Meh, am not as bitter as I sound lol, but I call a spade as I see it. At the very minimum they could have added 1 new unit to each title. This is all it would have taken for everyone new and old to get a little something something new.

Totally agree, when I see "definitive edition", I expect something more.. definitive?

Namechange + free dlc if you havent had it yet.

Now most games in the TW series start with the prefix Total War, instead of it being at the end.

Empire, Napoleon and Med 2 never had red shell to begin with.

So, Empire Total War got upgraded to the Definitive version... I guess the fact Steam's support for XP and Vista is already nearing its end.

And what will happen to Total War: Shogun 2? Will it be next? And functionality of Adobe Flash Player for Shogun 2 to be removed as well since Adobe is on the verge of being discontinued?

I would have appreciated to have that damned path finding bug solved, but, it's not that they never cared about that, so i guess it's a silly thought...

DID YOU FIX THE UNPLAYABLE LAGG CAUSED BY CANONS IN SIEGE BATTLES???
Utentesperto Nov 20, 2018 @ 7:17pm

we got the DLC's as we needed them, and some we didn't need. that's like a new purchase every 2 years or so, yes? it's no big thing.
