No Workshop

Empire was originally due for release in the Fall of 2008, but apparently, as the rumors went, CA had way more work to do than they thought. They had bitten-off more than they could chew, so to speak.Think about it...Rome and then Med II (two games more like each other than different) and then Empire with a new engine, naval combat and a gigantic (by TW standards) world map. So, Empire was released in March, 2009, and it had bugs. No one was surprised by this.

ALSO, during this time period Steam was first introduced. I liked TW games but I was a bit annoyed by this new process. I mean, where's my box, my manual, my bloody disc (or two), and, etc! Man, you are kidding me...Steam...!

The long and short of this is, the mod workshop had not quite come into existence. If I had to make a guess the workshop will not be a retrofit, either, because of time and money.

Anyway, for what it is worth...

I bought box version, still requires steam though.

No workshop.

Also ignore this unless you like easy mode garbage, which is easier to do with a trainer than that.

The only time I loaded up darthmod was to allow my grandson to play at age 5 so he could win the game. If you need a baby walker to be able to walk, that is exactly what darthmod does.
