Basically Kaunitz created a mod that altered the battlefield experience of Empire Totalwar to more accurately reflect eighteenth century warfare and I volunteered to review and test it for him producing a series of five video's culminating in the one posted above.
As you can see whilst the results were definitely more authentic the mod was not really expected to become popular with gamers who would find the accurate movement rates far too slow and the musketry much too inaccurate.
We also discovered that the Creative Assembly Battle Engine has extremely limited situational awareness triggers which made it extremely difficult to get units to react appropriately to nearby threats and opportunities and so a lot of features that Kaunitz wanted to improve were simply impossible,
I believe Kaunitz eventually moved on to attempt a similar mod for Napoleon Totalwar and he also published a series of demonstration videos using a smaller unit size. But the Empire Mod never became popular,
