How do you catch spies/saboteurs?
As Sweden i took Copenhagen. Someone keeps sabotaging my port there. I have two spies in the area, one in the port itself, and i've yet to see a single time the spy sabotaging my port so i can kill them. What do i do to get rid of this f*ucker?

Luck. A good enemy spy doesn't get caught.

A decent garrison helps too.
Always garrison ports with at least one unit of militia, if only to stop fleets from damaging it.

The garrison thing does help protect a location from sabotage, but also putting one of your spys at a location usually prevents an enemy spy from doing damage, and also if placed with a general it will protect the general..

Well, i had two spies and the enemy spy kept damaging the port so my spies didn't do anything. I put a unit of militia in the port and i haven't had any sabotage or even attempts since!

When you sent your militia unit in, did they eject a ship?
Because if you have no ships in your port, the enemy can send a ship into your port and damage it.

Nope. When i took the city there was a ship in port that i ejected with a militia unit then destroyed with my own navy. Then i put the militia unit back in the city. Then several turns in a row i got one of those event icon things when you end turn that said i had a port sabotaged (not blockaded) by a spy. I put my own spies in port and it didn't stop the port getting sabotaged by a ghost spy. So i put a militia unit back in port (after reading the suggestion in here) and it's helped.

Did the event say it was sabotaged by a spy or just that it had been sabotaged.
As you can send send a ship into an enemy port and damage it, then leave again in the same turn.

You know, i didn't read much into it past the "sabotage" and "X port" part. I suppose it could have been an anemy ship BUT wouldn't i have seen that? The game normally shows enemy armies marching and attacking/sabotaging and ships blockading or raiding trade routes. I saw no ships attack my port.
