Are rockets really that useless?
Idk if rockets are effective in navy battles but in land battles they seems to uneffective except cool effects that they make.

Couldn't wait to use them early on..! Only to find out what duds they are..:((( .. And can be as much a nusance to friendlies as they are to the enemy.

Historically accurate. They were good at scaring horses but not much else.

Not just the horses.

Yeah, but humans got used to it fairly quickly. Horses never did. Made one hell of a racket coming towards you though.

Intersesting read, no idea how accurate it is.

Just an example of how difficult is to grasp the practical implications of a new technology. It is like using firearms to fire arrows.

Thanks, an interesting read it was. Another problem with rockets is that they were dangerous to both the side using them and the enemy. Most commanders just preferred the resources to be spent on more conventional artillery.

Mortars are better
Templar Mar 17, 2017 @ 5:01am
Yeah - pretty much. Mortars are a lot better, more accurate, and once you get the quicklime shells, highly amusing as you watch your enemy choke to death:steamhappy:

I know they keep missing and even if they do hit a regiment they dont explode
