Depends on the mod. Some are way easy and some not so much. There is no one way. Depends on how much work the modder is willing to put in to make installation user friendly. Some don't seem to care about this at all. Some do a pretty good job. Mods just about always are accompanied by install directions but often the modder writes their directions at a rather high level. If you can understand what they are talking about then you have enough knowledge to do your own modding. Then again, some are easy enough to follow.
