Please include as much information as possible about your problem and the hardware and software you are using to play the title. If you can access the pre game launcher following the instructions to generate a support report will help us provide assistance as it provides information about your installation and general system details like driver versions and GPU type.

Total War: Empire Release Information

1.5 - October 29th 2019 macOS

• Updates the game from 32-bit to 64-bit.
  
• Uses the Metal graphics API instead of OpenGL.
  
• Fixes a number of minor issues.

Players using a version of OS X before 10.15 can access a compatible version of the game via the Beta tab in the game’s properties window. Select the ‘Mac_Retail_1.4 - macOS 10.14.6 or older only' branch for a version that is compatible with 10.9.5 up to 10.14.6.

1.4 - January 30th 2017 macOS

• Fixes a bug that prevented Total War: Empire from launching on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).
  
• Improves interface of the pre-game Options window.
  
• Fixes a number of minor issues.

1.3 - December 9th 2014

• Initial Linux Release.

1.1.1 - June 11th 2014

• Initial macOS Release.

checked the comments , found out that no one is having my issue ,
just recently reinstalled the game after a few months.
started the launcher , when i was in the loading screen it gave me the blue screen of death |
i have run this game before the update.every time i launch it , it gives me the blue screen

Dear Feral Interactive,

I am trying to download ETW (Mac version), however it keeps failing.
There is a 'disk write error' pointing to the 'models.pack' file.
I have tried downloading it to different drives as well. I have used my partner's Macbook, downloading Steam there, and tried downloading it onto her hard-drive, my external 1TB hard-drive, and a 100GB USB, but it keeps failing at around the 3.68GB download mark, no matter what machine or storage device I use.

I have the most recent version of OS and every other game I download I have no issues with except with Empire Total War.

I have cleared the download cache, and restarted my Macbook/ her Macbook numerous times as well as Steam, plus verified the integrity of the game files, and changed the download server location, but to no avail.

It keeps stopping the download and every time I click resume it pauses the download again. I'd really appreciate it if you have any solutions to this issue.
