I only noticed that the platform in Monica's 2nd phase doesn't break apart.
In Monica's first phase i noticed the slam attack that throws you into the ground if you dont jump it now also spawns a ring of fire that WILL hit you if you got knocked down.
In the case of Vanessa she mainly seems to spawn more hazards, like the spears of the first fight or the crystals on the second one.
Knight basically got a complete revamp, not surprising since he wasnt an actual boss before, but a miniboss.
Its been a while since i played the base game so i cant really recall the differences for Sage and Nonota.
The Spectral Armor doesnt seem to have new moves, you simply fight the already existing stronger version of him.
I think the spector armor gained a backslash move when you're hugging him and he does his standard slash combo, but for this one I don't know if it's new or not.
Tania can now chain her sweep move into a slam move that creates a energy eruption in a line.
Monica also gained an almost full arena blast move, including the revamped bear-slam move.
The Knight is an actual boss now, with it's buffed pogo move, more aoe's and more flames with everything.
Vanessa's spear spikes now track you in some moves from the start. Her full area aoe spear move can now come from outside-in instead of only inside-out.
The Seal is also a real boss now, with buffs to everything. I think her ground slam now has a knockdown effect. She's also got more black flame to everything, and her claw slashing attack takes longer to finish.
Dream Vanessa mostly has added effects and timing changes to her moves, like the drill attack now sucking you in really hard, the extra explosion and the stab afterwards, or the beam attack charging way faster now. Her crystal projectiles now sticks into the ground and explodes after a short time, and they also track you better. She has an extra basic combo that does all kinds of stuff. The rows of crystals that she creates now tracks you better. Her fase two is everything but FASTER and MORE, and she can ignore your slowed-time.
Nonota's first shock blast is now a more concentrated 180 deg aoe move with the individual blasts more in a zigzag pattern, instead of a circle. I haven't seen her slowing down time while charging lighting spells before, I think. Other than that it's the usual buffs.
These are all the changes I remember.
Arcane 95% would knock it up before attacking.
And don't abuse dodging. Try to dodge with "wanna charging some mana" mentality instead of just avoiding attack
I think my problem is I have only played on standard mode and just overpowered my attacks to just breeze through the game. I can't even get the dodging time down on the first boss and I've might have gotten him to 95% once out of 10 or so tries. Think I'll have to do a run through on advanced if I get the time, also a problem this is a game I jump one once ever few weeks to kill some time, so I never really build any real skills.
Use Switch Spell button to slow down time and improve your dodging. It's necessary to dodge into the attack to get mana, and make sure to charge your next spell while the mana is still in the air for a quicker charge.
There is an Angel nearby that sells crystals. I guess the problem is how do you get money for crystals. Buy Fire Level 3, and parry your own missile. I don't recommend doing this with Max Fire because it shrinks making it harder to parry, or maybe its my imagination. It took me a couple hours to consistently parry my missile, but my advice is to try to set it up the same way each time. Stand in the same place, walk towards missile and count how many steps Nobeta needs to take before the fire hits her. Use slow-mo spell switch to make the parry easier. Now you should always go into a boss fight with full health crystals, maybe a mana crystal if your feeling confident.
Max out Arcane and Wind and nothing else, save your money for crystals. Arcane is the most efficient so you wont have to worry about mana as much. Arcane also stun locks most bosses. I also recommend going into the second half of bosses with Wind already maxed out, since it gives you more invincibility during dodge.
If your trying to unlock Queen costume, you can always use the cheap trick of quitting during the boss fight as a retreat to restock on crystals.
For some boss specific tips. Vannessa 2 is trivial just by hitting her with arcane right before she does an attack, she always leaves herself wide open. Just make sure to keep moving sideways to avoid any ranged attacks she might throw.
Nonota worst phase is lightning, but if you hit her with a charged lightning attack during her lightning phase, she will skip it.
If you hate the Seal boss fight, there is a safe place during the chase after the first corner. Just jump on top of a pillar. It will will take a while because of slow mana recharge, so maybe consider bringing a couple mana crystals.
Good luck
