Missing Memory

I'm missing a single memory in Ch 1 Pt 2. I'm still on Bewwa, but when I got to where the memory should be, the ghost thing is already flying around and there's no option to remember. Why can't I get this memory? I'd really rather not have to replay the first chunk of the game just for ONE collectible

Collecting the memories is a two step process: first you need to press the button in order to release the ghost thing, then you need to catch that ghost thing (usually by jumping or by standing in its path).

I feel your pain, you'll have to replay, I'm afraid.
I wanted all achievements. I forgot 2 memories on Leuhsa island during my first run. I finished the game and than I replayed till I found them on Leuhsa. The achievement for having all the memories on Leuhsa popped, granting me all achievements, because that was the only one I missed. But the final achievement "Sentimental fool" should also have popped, but it didn't. :-(
EDIT: restarted the game, hit "enter" to start the game, achievement popped :-)
