As for the attacks with multiple hits (like Kyoko's special), may have to just try and figure that out ingame. If there was a combo counter somewhere that'd be perfect for this.
Edit: and wow the air grapple damage. As I figured, incorporating that into your combo is perfect for single target fights.
I found using it against bosses or under low hanging roofs is very effective. Since it normally knocks people away, bosses that have a stun moment (like Hibari for instance) will get hit with the whole thing because bosses generally don't bounce like normal enemies.
It's also a good combo ender for basic combo + neutral special. Press down special right before the final kick and it'll activate that instead. Pretty nice combo. (you can cancel that final kick into any other special attacks btw)
Another option is basic combo+up heavy+down special. Enemies fall right into the blender. Good option if you're juggling multiple enemies.
