Are The Keyboard Controls Tolerable?

Since I don't currently have a functional controller, I would like to know if the keyboard controls are decent, or at least customizable.

the keyboard controls are for 2 players by default.
the only way to changed it is using a mod development for the comunnity.
in other words, the keyboard controls aren't tolerable

I got an email from their support team when I asked about it and they said they passed on feedback from the community to find possible solutions except that was about a month ago so I guess they don't really care enough. I refunded the game though I tried the mod for changing controls before I did and it seemed to work well, though I'm going to wait for the game to get cheaper before I bother with buying it again.
