controller slow walk
hi

Im using a 360 controller to play the game but at random moments Kao walks slowly even if I have the stick pressed in one direction.
Impossible for me to beat the final boss with that in the 2nd phase. he suddenly walks so slow that I die all the time.

How often does it happen? Is it in specific moments, or totally random? Plus, what operating system do you use?

At a first glance it looks like a problem with controller itself, but we'll need more details (up) to make sure.

this happens to me as well. using an 8BitDo SN30 Pro

It happens constantly. He will walk then he will run. Can't run any length of time without it starting and stopping walk speed. It isn't a problem with controller itself and this isn't the first report of the problem. You guys even responded to other reports of this issue.

It's random and Im using a regular Xbox 360 controller.
With other games it works perfectly.

Analog sticks are more likely to be worn out or broken. It may not have been discovered by the setting of dead zone settings or movements for each game. I also thought it was a game problem, but I found this phenomenon in other games, and after testing it with an extra XBOX360 pad, I discovered that my game controller was the problem. A quick way to check is to see how the analog stick is perceived in Game Controllers Settings.
After trying with several controllers I found that with some it works and with some don't. And It is mostly random. The problem is that the zone in which the game recognize that the character has to walk is too big. For example a Logitch F310 and a Redragon Saturn make the charcater walk when the analog goes to the left from up. But a ps3 controller and another F310 don't.

I check with jstest and I noticed that for the two controllers that don't work, when moving from upwards to the left the read don't go as far as for the two working ones.

But I don't have this problem with other games.

There is a problem. Xbox 360 controller too. Same thing happened to me in some games on ps2 emulator.
I have no any problems with Xbox One Controller and DUALSHOCK 4, Xbox 360 Controller have a that problem with left and right sticks in any game.

This seems like a problem with the deadzone
I'm still having this issue on my game with my logitech controller. It kicks in every time I walk toward the up -left direction. My controller works fine in other games, it's just this one.

sucks man I just gave up on the game entirely. I have not been able to find any sort of solution to this issue

I had some luck with alt-tabbing out of the game (might have to use crtl-alt-del) then running the controller configuration through windows to recalibrate the controller. This only worked though if i kept the controller properties window open before going back into the game. Anytime I closed it the slow walk would return.

Not sure if this will work for anyone else, but I figured it was worth a try

Thanks I will try this out eddoghetto!

I was having this problem with my DualShock 4 and DualSense, and just running them through Steam Input as an Xbox controller fixed it.
