Xbox One Controller Not Working

I just got word of this game coming out for free (much appreciated, by the way), and I opened up the game meaning to use my XBOX controller, yet when it boots up it doesn't recognize that I have any type of controller plugged in, or accept any input. I'm not sure what to do, so any help would be appreciated

i got the same issue. i tried my xbox 1 wireless controller plugged/unplugged in and tried different resolutions in off chance of an odd bug but still does not work.

Try to activate steam input for xbox controller. You can find it in Steam > settings >controller>general controller settings>xbox configuration support.

This did unfortunately not work for me. Xbox 1 wireless.

My PS2 controller works fine except a little thing, my pad is still mistaking start with L2 and R2.

It seemed to find the controller automatically on my wifes computer. I ended up using the keyboard as ot routed joystick controls to my flight stick and that wad never going to work for me XD

Didn't work for my Xbox One S controller as well - didn't spend too much time searching any other solutions, like one mentioned...

Anyway, I still had my Direct Input pad lying around, plugged in and it worked, yay!
