hi, is there a fix for the slowdown in afterlife like a way to turn off the effects like damage numbers?

I would love to find a workaround. Right now, I can't make any progress in the afterlife because my game freezes and if I close and reopen, the realm level will reset. I can't even have it kill things on idle because once combat starts, I can't scroll over to hit the "home" button. It's a bit infuriating.
