game stuttering

the game was running fine until recently and now has started stuttering/lagging for some reason. i have the game running on an SSD which is weirder since when i transfered the game files on my HDD its running fine. Honestly i could switch it back to my HDD but id lose a Lot of progress which would be annoying as hell.

Is there a way to fix the stuttering?

Seems likely to me that this is steam cloud related. Since the triggers seem to be: new screen, regular intervals (a minute or so), or after a significant upgrade or event.

Those are all things that you might want to trigger a save on.

Got to Bog and now I'm getting constant stutters on every section of the game, was completely fine before then. Dont wanna lose any progress for changing hdds, it's on an NVMe right now so there shouldnt be any issues...

At this point on my game, i got to the Oblivion. but now my Hatchery is lagging/stuttering extremely bad, to the point where i literally get like 1-5 Fps. It's nearly unplayable in there

What's your config ? (processor, ram, graphic card)

And are you using any antivirus / antimalware ?

running on an I7 8700 @ 3.2ghz, 16 gb of ram and a GTX 1060 6gb

i dont see what the graphics card has to do with this though considering its a 2D game oh and using premium Avast for an AV.(not the best i know but cant complain)

Having same issues, the game feels almost impossible to play with 10 sec freezes between every screen, periodic freezing, and occasionally not saving small details properly, like the number of cards in a zone collected.

Same problem here, after fighting a bunch of crusade bosses, the game has like 1-2 seconds of lag everytime i switch screens and every few minutes or so. Its nothing horrendous, just annoying.

The game becomes very lag when you switch areas after playing for a long time.
Or do some behavior that the game will automatically save.

I think this may be caused by the save mechanism or the resource computing mechanism.

In my experience with other games, I guess it's because of some bug make the save file becomes very large.

you dont run games from SSD you store them on SSD, you run them like everythign else on ram

Where do you think the files on RAM come from? The game is not entirely stored in RAM at all times, files are loaded in and out of RAM as needed... and they come from the disk drive the files are installed on.

it happens to me too. I guess it's related to load/save events... but the game is almost unplayable now
