Those are all things that you might want to trigger a save on.
And are you using any antivirus / antimalware ?
Or do some behavior that the game will automatically save.
I think this may be caused by the save mechanism or the resource computing mechanism.
In my experience with other games, I guess it's because of some bug make the save file becomes very large.
Where do you think the files on RAM come from? The game is not entirely stored in RAM at all times, files are loaded in and out of RAM as needed... and they come from the disk drive the files are installed on.
