Game being unplayable

As requested, here are the issues:
-Game loads extremely slowly
-New game on title screen goes to a black screen with two brown buttons, an idem dito frame and some choppy sounds.
-Clicking the arrow button does nothing.
-Clicking the X button causes the screen to go full black, then deposits one at the shipwreck.
-Try to do anything and the damn game freezes up fully to the point where a hard reboot of the pc is needed.

As stated, my pc is able to run even high end games no problem, retro games and heavy programs as well without a hitch. Validating files, re-installing, etc. did diddly squat. I hope this helps in hunting down the bugs. I may repurchase if its fixable.

Thank you for your bug report. I will look into it and see if I can find a system that replicates those issues.

Me too. All of a sudden it takes like 3 to 4 minutes to start the game, even on an SSD. I don't recall this being an issue when I first bought it.

I tried a routine to speed up loading of the game assets but it must not work well for everyone. I am considering a roll back to the previous loading method.

I have now rolled it back. Let me know if there is still a problem loading the game.
