Firstly, why is it censored when Steam no longer requires that?

Secondly, how do you remove it?

Edit: Found from the guide tab, find ADL.txt and change content to {"c2array":true,"size":[1,1,1],"data":[[[0]]]} if anyone else was wondering.

Still unsure why it's necessary.

If not to put a ridiculous censorship then the game may be restricted in distribution due to various restrictions of the legislation of some countries

so as to earn more from sales in more countries, put censorship for countries that do not want it, good reasoning for you and we must tolerate censorship in the game when we expect unlimited play "for adults only".
In this case you should be honest and don't call it a game for "adults only" or apply censorship only to countries that ask for it. A game for "adults only" must not have censorship, otherwise it is a common game .

Ah, I was wondering if this was the same version as available elsewhere. The DLSite version does not appear to be censored (judging from the screenshots there, I can't promise anything). So, buy it there, you still support the devs/publisher all the same and the price appears to be the same. I probably will.

Just a point in reply to this comment... Sexually suggestive words and censored pictures are still "Adult Only" content. If you don't want censored content in "Adult Only" games learn a programming language and make your own adult only games with the tags "For pe(ople)/ (erverts) who don't want to bother going to a little effort to uncensor content".

yours is a misplaced comment, no player is forced to create uncensored games because he has to play adult games with censorship. Censorship has been eliminated for adult-only games to free these games from these limits, which means that it is no longer applicable or required and therefore calling it a censored adult game means making fun of players who expect a full game and they have no intention of looking for patches to apply.

This is laughable. There are creators and retailers of uncensored games and the only effort any player has to do is to shop with them.

Now, someone reminded me recently that *all* content on DLSite is censored following Japanese regulations, so my previous comment about how this game is uncensored on DLSite was wrong. Let me mention Manga Gamer and Nutaku both of which do not impose censorship (it's left to the games, some may be censored anyway)

Also, I've played Dark Fable and unfortunately, the gameplay is mediocre and there really isn't much content either. I was a little disappointed. Still, the asking price is low. I'd say you can probably find better.
