Does this VN contain spoilers of the main story line?
So, I didn't read the LN because want to enjoy the main story only with watching the anime.

What makes me worry is that Rinne is in this game and may drop some spoilers about her

No, the VNs aren't canon. Rinne made a cameo in S3/Volume 11 of the LNs, but that's about it. The VNs are set in-between events of the anime and LNs, but they have no bearing on the main story line, though if you haven't watched the anime or read the LNs, you might be a little lost.

-Rinne Utopia is set between Seasons 1 and 2 of the anime.
-Arusu Install and Rio Reincarnation are set between Seasons 2 and 3, but play Arusu Install before going into Rio Reincarnation, as it's set after the events of Arusu Install.
-The 4th game, Ren Dystopia (new VN that's releasing in Japan later this year for PS4), is set after the events of Season 3 or between Volumes 12 and 13 of the LNs.

Then you should be good to go! Just play them in this order when the game releases: Rinne Utopia > Arusu Install > Rio Reincarnation.

Thank you kindly for the information. I was also wondering the order of the series.

-Arusu Install (VN, not canon)

-Mayuri Judgement (Movie, not canon)
-Season 3 anime / Volumes 8-12 of the LN (canon)
-Ren Dystopia (VN, not canon)

Didn't Rio Reincarnation come out after Mayuri Judgement?
Tomoki May 7, 2019 @ 1:00am
No, Rio Reincarnation came out in July 2015 for the PS Vita and Mayuri Judgement hit Japanese theaters in August 2015; but it doesn't really matter as Mayuri Judgement has no connection to the games anyway. Rio Reincarnation, on the other hand, is tied to the events of the previous 2 VNs.

Damn, I can't imagine the amount of material that must have been omitted with the third season if it was adapting 5 volumes with only 12 episodes, hated the anime adaptation of Black Bullet a lot even though it was adapting 4 volumes, the manga adaptation on the other hand being 4 volumes adapting the first volume of the LN was very good, although with some changes that were added in the end too. I must start reading the LNs of Date a Live already once I've enough time to read them calmly. It's a pity that the anime studio that adapted the first and second season of the anime went bankrupt.

Season 1 and 2 were actually animated by 2 different studios (S1 was animated by AIC Plus, and S2 and the movie were animated by Production IMS; S3 was handled by J.C. Staff), but yeah, they both went bankrupt. I really wish AIC Plus didn't go under, because the first season had the best art and animation out of the 3 anime seasons. A damn shame DAL got shafted the way it did.

Now the LNs will be ending soon (the author is allegedly planning on ending DAL in the next Volume), and I don't know if they're even going to bother adapting the rest of the series. The anime only covered about 60% of the LNs' story.

I might be wrong about this, but i'm pretty sure Rinne Utopia was stated to be canon by author himself.
