Abandoned?

Has this game been abandoned? 2000 players concurrently as of writing. No update since november for a live service game isnt a good sign. Any words from valve?

Thats funny because for me the game run as syable as before. The only "crashes" are the n city crawl when some thongs refuse to loads quickly.

I get a crash everytime I start the game, and then it's likely I get a crash every third or so game during.

But yeah I think the game is abandoned. I tried their competitor recently even though I don't know any of the characters. All the details are worse, janky movement and repeating voicelines without any variation, no tooltip and extremely unhelpful ui, but it feels like they got twice the content and the game is alive. Maybe because they update their game every other week.

I recently started playing this game again and absolutely love it. I know some people same the game is dead but I don't think so quite yet. The game actually has some in depth strategy and the time it takes to find a standard ranked game is like 1-min. Also I haven't gotten like any bugs really. I play on iPhone 11 mostly though.

i can't load it today at all. just hangs at valve logo.. not a good place for a crash TBH.. reminds me who's responsible lol

You should disable the loading animation, used to have this problem too.

dota underlords is 10000% dependent on Dota 2 completely.

if there is no major update on the dota 2 heroes, then there won't be any update for dota 2 underlords at all.

those who don't understand that are those who never play dota 2 at all.

and those people are the type of people who never bother to research and check whether dota 2 affects dota underlords at all.

There are a ton of heroes which could be added to Dota Underlords... This has nothing to do with the current situation of the base game DOTA 2.

There are a ton of heroes which could be added to Dota Underlords... This has nothing to do with the current situation of the base game DOTA 2.

dota underlords heroes are based on the dota 2 heroes directly.

skills, passives, items.........etc.

saying that this game is irrelevant from dota 2 is plain silly.

Luna's ult in dota underlords comes from dota 2. Luna's passive bounce attacks is also come from dota 2 too.

PA in dota underlords, the passive abilities came from the PA in dota 2.

1) even if all 118 heroes in dota 2 are added in dota underlords, the developers needs to do the "balancing, re-vamp the skills slightly, dota 2 items.......etc.

2) also, don't forget that there is a limit to how many heroes you can place in the game.

these things takes X months to complete.

do not forget that COVID-19 is still ongoing which also affects the updates as well.

If they were doing any of that they would have sent out a pr statement by now so that they still have a playerbase to play the updated version.

If not, users should abandon it if they have issues. Such a simple game on an established engine, the crashes are wild all on its own, they are very repeatable. Worse is that the game fails to crash correctly, leaving it up to the user to find atypical ways to end the game's display hijacking process. This is a shameful product by valve.
