A friend has been playing lately, I thought the game got updates or something.
Went to check and saw this post

I didn't want to change DotA, but I'll have to switch to auto chess

There is a way around it.

1) Start a Bot Match (I have only tried Knockout; Hardcore).
2) During round 2 your Steam Account will connect and kick you out of the Bot match.
3) You are now logged in and can play an Online match.

I tried it on two difficult modes, it doesn’t work, now I think a lot of players will leave them, and so it was a little

But yeah the days of this game are numbered.
So much fun, best game to play on mobile.

So sorry, Auto chess design is too cartoony, Underlords is much more serious and there is blood from a phantom =), something happened today on the valve server and no one will hear us
