The Productive Knight Counter Discussion

So we all know how it works. And if you don't here you go.

Full knight bonus, finish up with the dragons and add in the 2 flavor of your current day. Go for human to heartless perks and knight adjacency perk. Or go 4 trolls because a streamer and some rando thinks its top ♥♥♥♥. We all have our own flavors.

Hope RNG is kind enough to give you at least 1 Abbadon. He's very shy.

So let's discuss counters to this build.

The rules are-

- Cannot rely on 3 gold star perfect RNG top end team just to beat the 2 star average knight comp.
- Cannot be a build that requires insane RNG by off building weird 1 off situational niches, this has to be repeatable and effective like the knight comp
- Has to be able to keep up in tempo to how quickly the knight comp becomes 10 man

i have 4 lv3 mech + hunter units still lose to 6 lv2 knights
i finish 4th place and top 3 is knight knight knight

this patch is so trash. you knight or you lose.

The biggest issue with it is getting to 9 elusives to begin with without losing too much health and the fact that you do tend to lose to heavy magic comps which are still played quite often too.

"You" gonna be defeated as soon as next patch released, same way they destroyed mages. DUL devs definitely don't know a thing about balancing...

I gave you the benefit of the doubt and sifted through the guide which is nothing more than hot tips for complete beginners.

This is a discussion we can all take part in about the current "meta". Considering i play end game and most people that will discuss this know how to build. You're just another person that can contribute..or not.

Build full mages comp. with -100% to magic resist and the KotL lvl2 and Razor lvl2 it just wipes the floor with knights. BUT only in the late game. If you are unlucky on rolls and lose too much HP in the first ~20 rounds, then well... rip.

It sounded a bit ridiculous to me too. Who cares if you're "big boss" rank? So you have no life and nothing better to do than grind playing this game. I could care less. I played two 2 star Treant Protectors and a 3 star Nature's Prophet, plus a bunch of other Elusives, against several knight comps. It beat the crap out of them. The trick is not to go for a 3 star Treant- you're worse off than with two 2 star Treants because one is going to get buffed by the druid synergy and become a 3 star anyway.

Heartless+warlocks with warrior frontline.
Get kunnka, tiny, axe as frontliners, throw in wd, necro pudge later. After tha - alchemist/sf/drow .

Knights always form a close frontline, and are often put in the front row, so drow aura will work for our melee guys. Heartless and acid spray cuts armor quite a bit, 4 piece warlock alliance w/ necro (octarine essence if possible) will keep you alive forever. Not to mention ship, casks, call, toss and hook cutting their already unexistant damage down. Or you can go 3 warriors + 6 hunters w/ dusa or double dusa and blow them up within stone gaze

I'll let your other "insults" slide as it's so beyond assumption you'd look like a total clown in real life saying that stuff.

I thought i was standing up for all here in telling him to piss off and that we don't need his guide on beginner tips so he can make ad revenue. That means you and ANYONE posting here knows how to play that game and are beyond the level of needing a beginner guide in discussing counters to an OP build at the time..

well, it doesn't matter anymore isn't it? They toned down knights, now they are ok. I'd say dragons still a bit on the stronger side just because of how easy it is to build them (and as a result its still worth it going at least 2 knights), but definitely NOT unbeatable.

Yep even the 'toned down' knights are so strong, and 4KN 6MG is ridiculous all the knights getting 35% DR and if you get the knight global everyone behind them gets 30% as well. I played a match last night Boss level everyone was boss or above so decent while perhaps not amazing. But still late game was 4 of us left, i attempted a non knight build (silly me) and came 4th (just) top 3 were...

1 - 6 Knights + mages
2 - Demons with 2 x strange bedfellows and all 2 and 3 stars
3 - 3 knights + trolls/hunters

the only knight build who finished below me did so only because the two guys who came 1st and 3rd got all the knight picks first so his were all low level.
