Placing a Robot made the Advancement deck float away

yes it sounds ridiculous but it was rather funny to watch.

Single Game mode, 3 real players, 3 medium AI
I placed a Robot on a building i couldn't afford the cost to use it. It still tried to give me a card but when i selected a card the card windows just floated off into the distance. Tried leaving the game and reentering but was permanently stuck in that state and couldn't finish the game :(
