Hello, everyone! I just wanted to say that I've managed to pull together some work to figure out how localization strings are being handled in the game, and as a result of it using Unreal Engine 4, this makes the process a bit easy (Although I still need to do more automation to my workflow, such as exporting pak files and converting the csv files I use to the proper locres files).

I suspect I'd have to put together a bit of a team with proper translation skills to pull a proper fan translation off, but I'm not quite ready to do anything yet, mainly because I'm honestly unsure if this game is going to ever get localized, as some folders reference an English locale, but consist of just dummy files at the moment. Right now, this is just a proof of concept.

As for an ultrawide/21:9 patch, I already have one up and running inside of Cheat Engine (Complete with the UI being centered on screen), although I need to get around to doing some C++ related stuff to detour functions to properly implement things. More updates on that part soon.

EDIT: A Prerelease build that consists of an almost complete UI translation is now available to download, alongside patch install instructions, instructions on how to buy the game, and a FAQ section.

EDIT 2: Here is a link to the Cheat Engine table for widescreen support. Keep in mind, that this will only work with v1.10 of the game, and I'll be looking into a patch fairly soon that will automate the process of patching the game's memory.

Where are you going to publish your work? I'm afraid bandai manco will try to prevent distributing it here.

Possibly GitHub or something. Unsure on what I'd do at the moment, but once an official English release is announced, I will stop working on this, and promptly take down any downloads, as I'd encourage people to support the official releases.

That said, if any funny business happens with the English localization, I will be right on top of tweaking things.

I mean, if anyone wants to archive the download or something, as long as they don't call it their work, and properly cite where it's from, feel free. I tend to license my game fixes under a GPL license to make sure that they are free and open for anyone to use. But since this is a mod rather than my own code, it won't be licensed under that.

How far are you aside from menu and some ui elements? i hope you can release an early version with just translated main menu and photo mod related stuff if you could, thanks

The photo mode is fully translated (Although I suspect that I should try and proof read things again). There's still a bunch of work I need to do for UI elements, and I'm not ready to announce a release or anything of that sorts.
