The calibrations don't make sense.
They aren't mech calibrations these are pilot calibrations.
No company would pay to have their mech tested like this.

Military:
Literally the only vaguely reasonable calibration is between the virtual walls firing at turrets, but this isn't useful to calibrate any individual system.
The machine gun/missile combination doesn't fit the mech models.
i.e. a Centurion with twin laser cannons or a Minotaur with lifting claws
When in the heck is a mech going to stand in an open field so wave after wave of aircraft can attack it?

Mining:
I haven't ever heard of any mines where flame throwers were shot at the machinery as an incentive to increase work performance.
Minerals tend to be in and behind layers of rock that mechs need to explode to access the vein, and the resulting rubble benefits from a mech's strength and dexterity moving it to be processed.
This turret avoiding nonsense is closer to a military test for the Legacy or Minotaur.

Jump Course:
Exactly when will a mech ever use any of this?
Crouching maybe, but precision jumping along rounded surfaces, wall running. These are mechs not ninja androids.
Honestly this course if it benefits any mech it would be leg calibration of the Centurion but even then, why?

Time limits:
When you take a car around a test track to ensure it's in basic working order there's no need to set a land speed record, why are we treating basic testing like qualifying for Formula 1?

Controls/Tutorial/HUD:
You're just hoping we guess what you're thinking.

Finally:
Seriously why aren't we testing Centurions on stairs?

Wait, AVOIDING turrets in the mining calibration? I thought you were supposed to periodically vent the heat with right-click?

Edit: I do get what you mean, though. Rather than calibrations, these are more like factory stress tests.

The whole calibrations part is the most annoying thing I have ever seen in a simulator game.
One who thought it would be good addition to the game was simply nuts.

+1. Tried military calibration like 10 times - each time was overwhelmed by the flying drones -> no fun at all

well one corporation specializes in exploration mechs so maybe this is why you test them for jumping and wall running. I think calibration is for people who want to have fun with mechs and a bit of challenge thus why it is optional in the game, you don't like it, just don't do it it's not like you are forced to. For me it is just fun minigame where I can play with my mechs

Calibration is a bonus station, designed to get away from assembly disassembly for a while and to spend time playing with the mechs. It also pays extra cash for the job, so the player doesn't feel like the station is useless. We are aware that the mechanisms included in the calibration station may not appeal to everyone. Therefore, in accepted orders calibration is treated as an addition, not as a task that must be performed

Repeating the same response to criticism, copy and pasted, is NOT the way to respond. Are you even reading these posts?

Of course we do, and we assure you that we care about your thoughts. These two posts were similar, so we pasted the reply from the previous thread here, in case anyone missed our response in the other post.

Wall running doesn't seem to work for me. Or if it does work, I haven't been able to pull it off. Just hold shift, and w into the wall, right?
Would be nice to get an option to turn the Tutorial mode off in the game. Locking out the stations is frustrating.

I don't mind the calibrations, but they seem a little more annoying than fun. At the very least, they should reduce the difficulty on them a lot; I feel like they should be just fun little things that can be easily completed, and you get a little free money in exchange for the time spent. Instead, they can be kind of frustrating and having to redo them several times to complete is no fun.

One thought I had, it might be better if you only get one shot at calibration and it pays on a sliding scale based on how close you got to completion? That might be more fun than just a flat pass/fail.

i'm sorry but Annoying most of your player base that HATES jumping puzzles(Please see your other game with a jumping puzzle that got players to actually quit it) and then trying to justify yourself is not a proper way to keep your clientele.

For some people (read that most people who play your games so me), these puzzles are simply IMPOSSIBLE to finish, therefore locking content / bonuses / etc.

Please find other means to make minigames, right now it just feels like you want to mock us and make fun of us while we ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan about it. Not good PR.

Dear developers,

I am long time player with really large library (not only on Steam), and I am die-hard fan of simulation and management games. And *twice in my life I asked for refund* - once when game had a bug preventing playing, and now, with Mech Mechanic. It's really frustrating not to be able to use part of the game simply because it's completely off-the-genre and way too difficult. Other puzzles aren't too appealing for me as well, especially with time pressure, but calibration made me rage-quit and refund.
Some people may like it, some like me and all friends in this and several other discussions simply *do not* like it. Solution - make simple settings in game, call it "arcade calibration" and let us click "NOPE" and play without it. Same for time limits - make second setting, if someone want to play with time pressure, fine. For those who like my humble self likes to enjoy slow pace simulation, let us press both as "NO". And everyone will be happy.

p.s. I WILL buy the game again, even without loyalty discount, if You remove aforementioned calibration challenge and time pressure, I enjoyed the remaining game aspects. Something tells me I'm not the only one...

You can only wall run on the walls meant for it and you have to JUMP at the wall before you hold shift.

Jumping on those large pills... lol, make them flat and a bit bigger, controls feels sluggish as well, and don't get me started about that bug in which I had to quit the game and restart for my mech to even jump. Simplify your calibration levels, you are annoying your potential fan base more than anything else with these. "You can just not do it" is not a valid excuse, when the majority of players find them simply annoying. Also give a better tutorial on the calibration math puzzle. This combined with that clicking selection bug whenever I'm trying to put parts back in is starting to make the game more frustrating than it is worth.
