Stone Deposits missing?

I have played several maps over the last couple days and each and every seed has lacked a stone deposit suitable for a quarry. Am I missing something or is this an issue others are experiencing or am I just getting really unlucky my my seeds?

Depends on the map type you rolled/selected.

I tried a few different ones to see if that was the cause. shortly after posting this I managed to get a few to pop. I am now just wondering if they did something to the spawn rate of these deposits because it felt like i used to see them all the time and now it is not the case

Plains maps will have little or no stone on them while Alpine Valley ones should have plenty.

Can always buy some from a trader once you have the trading post up and running.

I do buy a lot from the trader's especially later game because money becomes easier and easier to come by. it was just frustrating getting multiple maps where the only stone was on the surface and late game buying 80 to 90 percent of my stock instead of producing more.

You didn't find any infinite stone mines then? Because otherwise stone is only on the surface, there are no normal stone mines only infinite ones.

Deep stone deposits do seem very rare, but depending on your map, they aren't really necessary.

The infinite nodes? It seems like they have the same rarity of regular mines in regards to map types.

I usually play on alpine maps and get a ton of infinite mine nodes, but lately I've been playing on plains and they are extremely rare.
