Very enjoyable game, easy to get to grips with what is happening but tempted to start again after realising my various mistakes :)

Anyway my thoughts are:

1) Desperately needs a way to find or cycle through your different buildings - so say a building list with stats where you can then easily find them. This is the most frustrating part of the game imo.

2) Placement can be difficult if there are trees etc in the way, need to make transparent or some other visual.

3) Fishing is unintuitive. I put someone by a shoal of fish but they never find any fish? Move them elsewhere and still no fish.

4) Would be nice to be able to zoom out a bit more, as current zoom level is still pretty close in and if you want to plan where to expand to it would be useful to have more of an overview.

3) fishing happends only 60% of the year, When lake is frozen they don't fish either. Fishing is free, Hunting cost bow and arrows.

Starting over in this game is half the fun to see how much more efficient you can advance. It gets a bit boring once you get to self sufficiency even if the raid mechanic keeps it a bit lively.

As to your points.

1) This is on the to do list of features for the EA.

2) Turn off foliage and it really clears up the building areas. You can also do this on demand with the fertility key if you want to keep the pretties.

3) Have you moved the fishing circle to maximize your fishing area? It's the orange speaker looking circle on the fishing shack info window when you click the building.

4) There is a mod to do just that and you can find it in the guides section. I think the devs said they are going to extend zoom levels a bit but probably not as much as the mod does. Just remember that if you encounter any bugs when the mod is active to not report them unless they manifest without the mod too.

Fishing costs tools the same as with farming and other tasks like harvesting wood or stone. Tools are the games generic placeholder for axes and hoes and fishing poles etc.

and all those tasks works perfectly fine without tools, Hunter without a bow or arrows does nothing at all.

No they work at greatly reduced efficiency. Technically working but practically useless so close to doing nothing.

I have no idea why you think that. But you wrong.

Even when the lakes are frozen over in winter your fishermen will still fish. Dunno if it's a bug or intended.

It's intended.

I assume they are ice fishing through a hole.

it's bugged, mine never fish in winter, the only exception is if the fisherman got a task like restocking shelter, then winter hits, then the fisherman still has it's assignment to fish, once he catch one he quits fishing for the winter.

This bug is also present with farmers, in winter time the quit, but if 1 or a few had a restock shelter action he will go back to the farm and do his farming job, till that task is complete and then he will return home and sit out the remaining winter.

I've seen fishermen fishing in the cold, even in "extreme cold", but if it gets "deadly cold" they stop and get indoors (like everyone else too)

About fishing, if you did something like overfishing, the fishing spot will die permanently, I think.

Same applies to deer group and other wildlife.
SgtScum Sep 21, 2022 @ 1:17am
Fish and other wildlife will regenerate over time if you deplete them.

Surely not a bug, ice fishing is common here in the north of Europe. It should be nice to have another animation for this when they are sitting on the nice and fish through a hole. It looks a bit odd now when they use fishing poles like it was no ice on the lake
