Gold Not Storing In Vault

Regardless of having a vault, gold still seems to be stored in nothing. When transferring to town storage, is stores, but seemingly nowhere. I have checked all other storage, and the Vault is the only place allowed to store gold bars.

Same here! Made a thread some time ago, nobody seems to react to this. I havent found a solution, but you are not the only one experiencing this!

so it not just me. i restriced gold from all other storage and still the gold wont go to the vault. I dont know where it is going. i got a 12k gold mine going and massive positive trades and got over 15,000 gold and moved 10k to the vault. it shows in my tax pool in the upper right side of the screen but does not go to the vault.

If you transferred it into (and out of) the trading post, that might be it. Items that come out of the trading system post seem to go back into your inventory but do not show up in storage.

Did you try transferring it all to trader, and then once it was delivered, transferring it back to town storage?

If you put it into the trading post, there's a bug with that. Things go into trading limbo in there and don't appear in the various storage facilities like they should. They're still accessible to your villagers to use though.

There seems to be a behind the scenes inventory that gold goes into. I can't find all the good bars in any if my stage facilities, but as you say, they are still accessible from somewhere. I think I am seeing this with other items too. My swords seem to be going into the ether too. The forge says they made them, but no INE has them and they're nowhere in inventory that I can find.

EDIT: It may be that anything I've bought in the Trade manager and moved between those inventories are the ones that are disappearing. I know I bought weapons and tools, and those seem to be the ones dissapearing, though they are not even showing up in my main inventory window. Don't know where they're going and this may be a game breaking bug.

I'm having this issue now. Only recently purchased the game. I have no idea where my gold coins are being stored. I mean...they're there but in limbo. Not in the Trading Post, not in my vault and not in any of my Storehouses. Bizarre

Its a long known issue the devs have been looking into. One of these patches it will get fixed.

Well its not an intended mechanic but it doesn't 'ruin' the game as it doesn't stop anything from working other than the banditos getting their filthy paws on it during a raid. The vault will store gold but only gold produced by the market and foundry. If you take gold out of the vault for the trade post then it goes into 'cloud' storage.

The underlying transfer system for storage, and consequently the ability to transfer items Out of the trading post and Into your town's storage buildings, is coming in v0.9.2.
