Yes I'm aware of this. But try finding the yellow circle on a large map with 23 hunter buildings. Easier to get a pointer direction on where the yellow circle is rather than scroll the entire map looking for it.
This unfortunately is not a good suggest and not helpful to the requested feature I'm asking for.
Thank you for your suggestion but allow me to make suggestions as well for improving the game for those who play differently from your play style.
With Deer spots on far side of the map and away from town. Placing hunter cabins there is bad idea as villagers stock cabins with firewood water and other stuff like soap. It makes bad logistic sense to do this. Hunting and bringing back food to the cabin that is next to town allows for better faster transport of goods. Safer.
Did you know hunter cabins inside market radius makes money. Entertainment buildings reaches hunter cabins for entertainment as well.
I agree with your suggestion. Same thing with Rat catchers and foragers.
its just a simple and helpfull addition. Just like to warning a merchant has arrived.
If the cabin is placed near town the hunter needs to walk all the way to town, instead of a worker picking up the meat. So i dont know if it is faster in the long run, cause the hunter needs to walk all the way back before hunting again.
Better is to build a small area with hunter, forager, smoker and defense tower. so the smoker can work directly from the hunter and workers will haul the smoked meat to storage and market. Be sure to uncheck raw meat from all other storages and markets.
Or at least I hope the will take care of this things first...
I am still hoping for a simple high contrast color to be applied to the circle for the building you click on. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1044720/discussions/0/6296618058101389661/
They already use bright red, bright green, and bright blue to highlight many things, with no need to toggle overlays on and off, no need to install a mod if you aren't used to using mods or don;t want to install a mod that may keep breaking while the game is still in development and getting updates and hotfixes. And it doesn't limit anyone's playstyle by forcing people to place certain buildings in specific areas (some that can move- like deer herds do). It's simple and elegant. Active building (the one you clicked on) gets a high contrast color circle to indicate its area of influence or effect, while the rest remain white.
Unreliable. Really. Might be a bug, but I've had to click on the building a time or two extra in order to get it showing yellow.
Regardless, the yellow is not bright or distinct enough when you are dealing with large villages that have 30+ hunters. 10 or so foragers, and 20+ work camps. All of these building have challenged me from time to time in regards to finding the work circle when said work circle was a fair distance from the building.
A line connecting the building to the work circle is a fine solution. Alternatively, there could be a sort of compass around the building pointing to the direction of the work circle, with the work circle of the selected building being more distinct than just a different colour (and one that sometimes is hard to distinguish).
