Mono / Melonloader
Will the game always use the Mono / Melonloader method for using mods or will it someday have the modding built directly into the game?

Just curious!

Sounds as if it can be both, but I'm no modder.

"The Mono build will allow you to install and run mods off of the Steam Workshop, including support for Melon Loader-based modifications. These mods will be installed to the Farthest Frontier (Mono)/Mods directory."

Thanks for the link. Seems like there is no mention of adding in native mod support without the melon loader add-on separately running. Not a deal breaker for me or anything, and they could still make that something they do after launch as well. And if they never do... not the end-of-the-world, haha.
