Can you asign families/workers to certain houses, so they live closer to their workplace?
How do you get workers to move into the worker shelters. I build those at far awayy resource sites, but they always sta empty. An Workers rather march all across the map, to picl something up and then go back again.
I have seen a hunter which I placed in the midst of no where, run back to town, just to pick up some arrows from the bow maker.
This is so stupid.
I try building new houses near far away resources, so the workers dont have to walk so far, but the AI does what it want's. Those workers then run across the map to do something else, and the ones from the main city, still waste most of their time walking instead of working and often dropping dead on their way.

Is there some overview window where you can see where the workers of a certain production live and can you resettle them, according to their work place?

Temporary shelters are only used in emergencies - like if a blizzard is coming. Or if they need to cross a long distance of the map, they’ll pop into the temporary shelter for food if they are literally starving.

I have read that if you unassign all workers, and then reassign them, they’ll move into houses near their jobs, I haven’t tested that though.
If housing is available workers should move closer to their work places.

You can unassign a worker from a job and immediately add one again.. most likely it will be another worker who hopefully lives closer to that job.
(I think you can do this only 1x a day or the same worker will be reassigned to that same job)
Don't forget that you need wagons to bring food and firewood to the temporary shelters, otherwise they're useless. I also plant some fruit trees near them because your villagers can grab fruit directly from the trees if they get hungry.
How come I can not unlock any achievements?

I also would like to know howw to fix the problem I have with gathering herbs ect. Some show a negative trend, with red arrows on them down and with cursor I get msg. that they are negative, because fallen trees are near bye??? How do I fix that, how to clear those trees (I dont see any there and I haven't chopped any down).

Because unless you're playing the playtest version of v0.9.7 they're not available yet.

Clearing trees, etc, will cause herbs and other similar resources to not regrow so you either need to find new sources or move your forager huts up to t2 so you can choose which resource they grow and harest.
I'm getting extremly pissed off with this game. Every Winter I lose loads of people due to freezing. How do I prevent this? They all have fur coats.
Along the long paths I have built worker shelters, but they stay empty, allthough filled to the brim with food and fire wood. The stupid ppl just run past and then drop dead on the roads, before reaching their homes.
Witner started, and allready 12 have dropped dead. Even when the snow melts, in spring time I get msg. that a perrson froze to death.
And these are all young people.

You might be running into a bug with exposure deaths we addressed in the upcoming v0.9.7 update. One of the issues was related to Temp Shelter usage, so seems probable.

Hi, So since the update I have started loosing 50-60 pops per winter. Had a pop of 900 and no issues then the update dropped and now loosing a stupid amount of pops to exposure. It Sent the town into a death spiral. I lost 15 in summer to exposure. Everyone has coats and there are nearly 900 coats in storage. I notice at least half of them are children if that's any help. May want to either turn the effect down, way way down. Or a better idea is scrap it until it can be implemented sensibly. No one dies from exposure going to the shop.

I have stopped playing this game just because of such issues. They keep making anouncements of fixes and updates, but such basics still suck and get me extremly angry, while playing. I am begining to regret buying this game.
