Upgraded hunter and traps - are they worth it?
Usually I don't upgrade my hunters but I read a comment (I think it was here) about how much extra meat they bring in when there aren't any animals on the map. I upgraded them in my current save but no matter how many traps I set them to, it always has a red down arrow. I have never seen green arrows with traps, ever. Iron ingots aren't the issue. I have more than enough and they are not that far from the cabins. Travel distance for the hunters is short.

I have seen traps placed on the map, so I know they are using them, but why the down arrows? Doesn't matter if I set it to 1 or all 4 traps. Each area also have deer. It seems like they get less pelts than before they upgraded.

I think maybe upgraded huts should have two hunters. One to hunt animals with the bow and one to set traps. It doesn't seem like one hunter can handle both.

Hi there, you need to pay attention to the indicators on the "traps" when you place the "work zone". I mainly use them for pelts and they work just fine.

Make sure your work zone is in unused area that is all accessible land.
