Hay for the Barns

How can i produce hay for feed?
Saw it in the description of the feed window in the barn, but no building where i can produce it.
Will it get added later on?

And it would be nice to set a preference for the fudder used. For example, grain is preferred, because it needs more steps to process to get used as food for the villager. Windmill and then bakery, whereas root vegetable can get used directly without any processing.

I think it comes from harvesting wheat and rye.

There is no hay yet, but I haven't played version .9 yet so it could be in there.

Only grain is produced with Rye, wheat and buckwheat, however no hay.
Straw is another thing grain could produce, just logical to get produced, however we would need a use for that.

Priority to use a specific food for the cows would be greatly appreciated

I assume hay is coming at some point as it never used to be mentioned in the barn's tooltip. We don't have it yet though.
