Foraging needs a lot of improvements
Micromanaging foraging houses is extremely annoying to play with. Does anyone have a way of using them that works well? From what I can tell, it's just extremely early game food and later on gathering herbs. It seems like a lot of wasted potential

As a basic upgrade; can it have a larger foraging radius? Something radial from the building itself? Multiple work areas? A single forager doesn't have to sit around for half the year, and it really doesn't need constant management, unlike anything else I've encountered so far.

Can it have a basic upgrade? Like gatherers can re-plant some wild resources near their building, like arborists tend to fruit trees; anything to make them less annoying and inefficient to use. It seems like a natural progression given that these folks are supposed to work with these wild plants all day.

I've never had any problem using them. They don't need to be micromanaged unless you are on an extremely barren map.

Right now there's an exploit where you can relocate blueberries. It would make sense to an upgrade to the shack to relocate and replant other plants the forager gathers, provided you have the right soil type for stuff like willow and medicinal roots.

Also, you can have laborers gather berries but not nuts or anything else. Seems like a weird limitation.

Later in the game when you have plenty of laborers, sending them out on foraging expeditions every year can turn into a ton of preserves.

It's not an exploit, but a deliberate design decision.

Being able to move other things the forager gathers has been asked for several times, but whether Crate will make that possible in future ....

So the "move building" option for one plant out of a dozen is intentional? Seems unlikely.

It is, since if it was a bug it would have been fixed by now.

One thing they could add is with the addition to upgrading the forestry building to plant trees, they can make a pretty dense forest which in turn can be exploited for hunter traps, the game could start to spawn birds nests, nuts, mushrooms and herbs as the trees get older. giving the gather huts more viable gathering options over early game.

I have been complaining about the Foragers from the day the game was released and I am not the only one, but you know game devs, putting half-baked stuff into games today is an acceptable practice for them.
