Trader livestock.

I've been waiting 17 years in game so far and still traders haven't showed up with chickens. Can we boost the chance of them having livestock for sale.... Please!!

i don't think they will, but you can make a request just make sure you have alot of gold.

As mentioned, just make a special request for chickens at the trading post: then the trader who comes the following year will bring them for sure. (It will cost you max price per unit, but that way you can guarantee it).

You have to have a coop before they are available for sale.

Thanks for the comments people. I figured how to get them. The problem wasnt requesting them. You cant request them if they are not in the trader inventory. But its all good.

It seems that they bring the livestock even less often now that we can request it. I had to request chickens and goats to get my barns started. I find it hard to calculate the timing of barn building too, which is important. You can't request the livestock until you have the barn or coop ready to go, and sometimes they take aeons to build it, even if you put it at high priority!

You can request the livestock, even if it's not in the trader's inventory, though. Scroll down the list to all the "grayed out" stuff the current trader doesn't have, and if you have a barn or coop or whatever, you should still be able to click the little box icon to request that animal for the next trader to bring, whomever they may be. It will cost ya, though.
