Items on Dead Villagers

Do we get them back? Or are they lost on death? I don't care about the food or clothing they're wearing, I DO care about the higher end items, like weapons and hauberks/shields. Thanks!

No you don't get it back.

On a similar topic, when you accidentally shift all your gold from the treasury to the trading post and can't pay your soldiers' upkeep, they will leave your village but you will get back their weapons and armor.

You get them back if they die of old age and I think maybe sickness? If they die in combat you lose them.

Yup and if your villager lies down wounded waiting for rescue, to not risk losing the items if the help is not coming on time, you can fire him and hire a new one (soldier/hunter whatever). This way his items automatically land in storehouse.

RAWR! Thanks everyone! I was hoping for the opposite lol. My hunters keep dying against boars, at least in early game when i really need the damn weapons. Thanks!! <3 PS. I'll not engage boars until I can replace the weapons I guess lol.

Build a fence around boar spawn zone, place tower outside, place hunters outside, enjoy.

I wish we could.

One would think that we could get those items back/off the Dead.

Historically speaking that would be the most accurate since this was done regularly.

Rarely, was gear just abandoned/left on the dead to be lost.
