When will this not be "early access"?
My days of "pre-ordering" and "early access" are permanently over after one cash grab after another from desperate studios desperate for revenue. Anyone know when this will be "released" and we can buy it and fully test drive it within the 48-hour return window?

devs said - mid 2024, but if updates will go in that pace we have now, it will be closer to end of 2024, so there is no certain date, but somewhere between june and december 2024 . ofc if everything will be ok ...

Oh and by the way Farthest Frontier works indeed very well in EA. It was very successful already.

The last few years I have to say that quite few full released games feel more "early access" than a lot of many EA-titles. And much worse than FF is at this stage.

Many "full releases" are in fact nothing else than an "early access", unfinished, buggy mess. The best strategy regardless of EA or full release is to read in the discussions, reviews and multiple websites. it cannot be helped.

That aside I would generally not really recommend to buy EA titles, if you just want to play a game with its full potential. Any EA game will be unfinished by definition with missing features and potential problems. That much should be obvious and it is a little hard to uderstand why people complain about such things as if this were unexpected somehow... .

On the other hand EA can be a great experience watching a game grow while playing it. I guess something like Baldurs Gate 3 or now Farthest Frontier are very good examples for this, but really it should be obvious that for the best experience only well reviewed full release titles that have had an additional year of development should be bought. This is especially true for AAA titles, not so much for indie games.

Reason of this is idiotic consumers. They are doing it because it doesnt require to be perfect even a uncompleted game becomes a seriously great investment.

meh.....I've played several "early access" games. What the game is "now" won't be what it is later. And probably won't be what either the game designers planned or what the fans wanted, but a mixture of both. That's just the way it is.
