I have farmers carrying a scythe... they charge into battle, and drop the scythe... because fists deal more damage? What about the pitchforks?
btw, small advice: a soldier if fighting a group of 10 stacked raiders. with 1 hit he damage all of them... keep in mind: if those 10 raiders all aim on the soldier first. he will die fast.
So have a group of 4 soldiers run into about 30 raiders at once. your 4 soldiers will mostlikly win... you maybe lose 1 or 2 of them. Do it next to a barrack with soldiers in it. and you can fight of massive armies.
The only problem is that you cant set rally point for hunters so it works better for defense
