I am pulling my hair out at this boar spawn right next to my town atm... if I build over it will it stop spawning???
I usually just stick with the first map, as long as it gives me some flat land to build on, then I see how far I get before wanting to re-roll...
I haven't tried the hilly terrain maps yet though, having one good mountain on my map is good enough for now.
In the game though, I've noticed that mineral deposits stay there if you build something over them. Meaning you might have to move the building later if you want that mineral resource. Food (plant) resources are destroyed if you build over them, and the deer will move to a different spot if you build to close to them.
1. Yes deer/boar and wolve dens are randomised on a restart of the map, everything else stays the same
2. No it won't stop spawning, but the beauty of this spawn system is: when you build houses etc on/around it the spawnpoint moves to an free location. So you can force a spawnpoint to a location of choice (by choice i mean in a general direction).
Bonus: When you kill all animals from a spawn, the spawnpoint will be removed, next year it will spawn a new spot near/on the origional place or little farther away if you build on the spawn.
