WATER
Anyone else seeing their wells continually have water issues. Doesnt matter how close to a pond/lake, how much tree cover I have, I am ALWAYS seeing low water. Even an Improved 98% bonus well just runs dry!?!?

Yes, it's a real pain!

if you only have 1 well per market place and 20+ housing + bakery and have a fire or 2 then yeah you can run it dry, I always use 2 wells per market place, never ran out of water.

You need more wells. I don't have any issues with water.

Also make sure you keep a tree or two near your wells. If not, plant one. It won't make a difference immediately, but as the tree matures it increases the ground water level near it. I found this out the hard way. :)

This was reported on the test

Thats so stupid, large towns of thousands of people were getting by fine with one well IRL. In this game you need 5 wells to support 100 people :steamfacepalm:

As the owner of an acreage with a well and a septic system, I can say that planting a tree near any subterranean source of water will not increase the supply of water. :steammocking:
Better yet I have a fisher with a 2m walk to a well yet the building says low access to clean water. My wells are almost always full.

Agree, but it is documented in the tips that it does in the game. :)

What the trees near the well do is create shade which in theory reduces water loss from evaporation, but because the game does not work that way they set it up to increase replinishment.

In Africa they will cut down a three if the well is running low, a large tree will use 30-50 galleons of water a day.

Wells are getting a bit of a bump in v0.9.0, and a nerf to bonus from rain. On average, they will refill faster, with less of a spike from weather.
