Scurvy!
Why are my villagers getting scurvy all the time. I have 3 orchards, tons of fruit, greens and berries. I even grow greens (cabbages, leeks, peas and beans) and they still get scurvy. I just don't get it. Any suggestions?

It's not all just about greens, fruits and berries. You need a stable source of water and importantly SOAP to prevent a lot of different diseases from taking over. If a villager gets it, can easily be treated with medicine and healers/hospital.

Thanks for the reply. They all have lots of soap, wells, meat, fish and root veggies as well as bread. So I don't understand why they are always getting scurvy. They have clothing and shoes.... and entertainment but they're too sick to enjoy it LOL

I noticed in my last town that when I focused on fruit and got rid of my gatherers, my people got more scurvy. This time I am keeping a couple gatherers just to get the blueberries in the spring and my scurvy is way down. Maybe one or two a year.
I don't grow many greens either, I don't know if that's a mechanic they got rid of but the tool tip just says fruit and berries right?

Well, I think the problem is the AI, they just eat whatever they can put their hands on the quicker and thats it.
They probably dont prioritize food types.

Yes, I have about four foragers and I always make sure they get high number of berries, greens, nuts and eggs. I noticed that although all these foods are readily available they seem to stock their houses with meat, fish and water more that the fruits and veggies. I just don't understand why. I got to the point where I don't care if they get scurvy, it seems to be their own silly fault. LOL I agree, the game set up is a little off, but still an excellent game. :)

I always see this too, i end up with literal thousands of greens in storage, the meat is always gone first. Its almost like they want to have bad teeth and poor health. Who knew this game was about us Brits? XD

Are you using the market to distribute food or just the root cellar? It seems to me, like many games like this, that if you do not use the market for distribution, they take whatever they can grab first versus getting a fairly even amount of different foods via the market. The downside is that food will rot faster in the market.

Yes I hear you Viral, I'm from Britain LOL
I do have markets stocked with food. On one of the youtube videos they suggested not having food at the market because of the quick spoilage, but I just let the market supply food. I also have root cellars and try to put one close to the housing area.
