The farmers sow nothing... What can be the reason?
The display for "planted" is almost always at zero. There are enough farmers assigned and it is independent of the crop or the crop rotation... Anyone have any ideas?

Fenced the field in so they can't get at it?

There is a bug on farms that when they start to rot they plant but there is no crops seen. So there is no harvest and it will tell you the crops rot. Try restarting the gsme.

Another bug on the farm is you can’t extend it by 1 tile or 2 tiles but you can’t extend by 3 tiles. The work will initiate but it won’t show it extends. But it will show the additional farm. It’s like another farm superimposed another.

It isn't the fail to harvest bug if the display is showing zero planted. That bug will still show planted, just won't actually show/grow the crops.

When a new crop is supposed to start, what are your farmers doing? Are they just idling in town or do they have any other tasks?

Apparently if you have prioritize on a field being tilled, it can mess up with their ability to function on other fields.

Mostly my fields are planted (farmers plant but crops won’t grow) and shows the possible yield. But no harvest occur so it rots. I was thinking because it was a very old save and perhaps the same crop rotation (for so many years).

So I restart the game and changes some crops introducing leeks, cabbage, wheat and carrots. These are crops that I really don’t plant because their balance coupled with temperature intolerances are annoying to maintain to have 90+% fertility. But I can’t tell which solution really solved it because I restart and change the crops at tge same time.

Another bug I saw is that compost yards don’t show icons that a chamber is ready for use.
