Seriously? Why do walls/fences exist when deer just use the GATES to get to my crops?

I finally get enough extra stone and wood to build a fence around my fields to keep the deer out. Of course I need a gate to let my villagers in annnnnnnnd the deer jsut to that one freakin gate to waltz on in and eat my crops. Can the dev fix this?

I've never had deer go through a gate. Just a possibility, but is the deer spawn close to the field? They could simply be spawning inside your fence area.

fence walls do break so hit x select all and hit rebuild
