The mines run out so easily
Maybe one option to play with eternal mines will help us to see the game growing

for a map such big and resource everywhere, and you constantly expanding. i dont see the point of endless mines.

i think slightly larger amount will do.

but yea, i feel its little annoying when playing hard mode highland to constantly rely on trade to get my materials XD but its doable, just way too much micro management XD

Advice, don´t play on idyllic maps ... they are lacking pretty much everything except for fertile land.

Every Idyllic map I've played has had tons of resources. Maybe you got a bad seed?

they've got a really low gold spawn rate but with everything else being abundant you shouldnt need to be minting gold anyway

I've played on several Idyllic Valley maps and each had a lot of gold. Granted I re-rolled the maps quite a few time to get one with lots of gold. I've found that most Idyllic Valley maps always have plenty of Iron and Clay, but not necessarily a lot of Sand or Gold. I tend to re-roll the map until I get a lot of each.

you can do endless mines if you want. nexusmods has a mine spawner. however, i generally agree above that you should adapt to the situation and trade for anything you're short on as that's the intent of the game.

After you get your barn, wheat farm and flax farm up, you should have a couple things for mass trading...

That is how you get your supply chain up.

the map I'm playing have only 2 iron mines

I haven't mined out an entrie mountain in 300 years, why waste workers on mines when you can buy the stuff from the trader?

some mines don't even have 400 resources in them, i would like to see endless mines...they can balance out the deep mines by limiting the amount of workers you can assign to them.

if u play highland map, theres no clay no busket , very little herbs, 0-30 ish usually.

400 is still something . XD you just have to use it wisely on priority upgrades, until you find next one or trade for more.

if the AI handled tasking/pathing better i would agree with you, but since it doesnt the "outposts" to support mines far from the village will squander a lot of resources and time...a lot more than it should. If they fixed the tasking/pathing then 400 resource nodes wouldnt be a problem, but alas i dont know if they will even fix that issue in any meaningful way

I fully agree, havn´t had any problems with resources on any maps, yes, sometimes it takes 15+ seasons to tier because the traders don´t bring herbs/clay. Happened once to me and I bit the dust and waited.

But I once I tiered up I got all the gold in the world .... made 3 foundries and my problems were over.

I think the problem is that a lot of people dont like waiting, they want things here and now.

Wood can be a problem on certain maps, havnt played those though.
